Hello!

My name is Charles Yates, and I am a freelance Producer/Engineer/Songwriter/Composer.

A couple of years ago, I ran into some of my friends in the musical community. Quite a few have made some serious contributions and have been given awards for music. Two of them were nominated for Grammys. One in particular invited me to one of his sessions, and I was amazed at how music is being produced today. I had done studio sessions as a Trumpet player, and opened for named artists such as Zapp (featuring Roger), Cameo and New Birth in the seventies and eighties. At that time, analog recording was king. I came out of retirement, and enrolled in Full Sail University to learn from the brightest and best in the music industry. Since then I now produce, record, engineer and mix my own music as well as working at one of the city's major studios. Since the "Mixtape" idea, I have been keeping busy doing mixing, recording and producing music for artists. I have done television commercial scoring as well as radio jingles, and film. Last year, I composed an entrance theme for one of the WWE/NXT sports entertainment Superstars.
